As any young gentleman looking to throw a party knows only 2 things matter, one is girls or more specifically girl to guy ratio; two is music. Of course any wise man knows that a diverse mix of libations is the most important thing, but that goes without saying because if you don’t have drinks you don’t have a party. Now if you have good music then the ladies will come. It’s like a siren song of a good time. Men are by their very nature prickly beasts. As cavemen we had to hunt for survival back in the day. We had to create the wheel to make pots for porridge and to hold our beers. So because we’ve been hardwired primarily for survival, we are sometimes hard-headed and stubborn as mules. There are times when you need to help set the mood or just express emotions that don’t come easily. We need music to help us reach our softer side which is buried deep in our DNA. There are moments in life when you need to get jacked up. They could be when you’re preparing for a big presentation, going to the gym, getting ready for a big game, going out for a run or just needing to feel the blood and adrenaline rushing through your veins to remind you that you are alive.
Music consisting of a pattern of sounds and silences constructed into an art form is the most consistent way that I know to get amped up. A top 10 list is too restrictive, so I busted out 15 highly diversified, high-octane songs to get you pumped up (in no particular order). Enjoy.

Looking back at the year in music is like going to the grocery store and looking at the fruits and vegetables selection. A lot of different varieties of apples, oranges and tomatoes just to name a few. Very much like music in 2007, there is little of everything for someone’s taste. Some things good, some things not so good. Focusing on the good stuff, lets feast on this in no particular order of course.
