Driving, especially during the summer months can take a toll on your wallet. Make sure you’re getting the most out of your fuel economy and ensure your car is in tip top shape using Fuelly.
Fuelly helps you track your gas mileage overtime and allows you to compare it to other people who have the same car. If you notice a dip in economy it could mean it’s time for service. You can save a considerable amount of money over the life of your vehicle just by monitoring your auto’s fuel economy.
All you need to do is sign up (it’s free) and enter a car or motorcycle. Then from there you’ll be able to keep track between miles driven between fuel ups or enter in your odometer reading at each fuel up (they also have a mobile app which makes this process even easier).
If you’re going to be buying a new or used car, this site can also be useful in seeing what actual type of mileage drivers are getting out of a certain make and model. Happy driving.

I think that way too many people are too lazy to do something like this everyday
This might be a good alternative to what I do. I usuallyt just keep a log on a notepad in the glove box. It helps when my wife and I are looking at what we spent on gas each month.
It’s amazing how for the same car that so many people can vary in what mileage they get. There must be some people with lead feet or the one’s that stop and go too much.
@TODHD I hear ya. I actually was at the conference when these guys launched in 2008. I thought to myself, there’s no way I would do that. I’ve been tracking them here and there and saw that over 32,000 people have signed up to use it. But I agree probably not for every day Joe, but more for the penny wise person who has a slight bent on cars.
