Ploomy Girl #10 is Suzie Leighton.  The 24-year old San Francisco native is always on the move. She’s lived in and visited more places than most people do in a lifetime. At the age of 18, Suzie moved to Europe where she served as an aupair (nanny) for 2 years.  After coming back to the United States, Suzie attended college in San Diego where she was business fashion major.  She eventually dropped out after finding the job she’d been dreaming about since 3 and that was being a flight attendant. That’s where this flight takes off…hop on the plane with us and see where she takes us.

What’s it like being a flight attendant?
I love being a flight attendant because you’re always on the go. You can’t really have a real life at home because you’re gone a lot. And if you have kids, it must be even harder.  When I settle down and have kids I definitely will have to quit.  If you are in a relationship, you have to be with a really trusting guy because you are with pilots and hot co-workers all the time! But I love it. I’m never one to stay in one place for too long so it’s the perfect job for me.

As a passenger, we always see flight attendants going to that back area during break periods or when there is no service coming around.  What are you guys really doing back there???
When we’re in the back, we gossip ha ha. We usually are talking about the latest news in the crew room and who’s hooking up with who. And of course because you don’t really have long breaks during the day, we take that time to chow down.

As a flight attendant, have you ever caught anyone trying to get into the “mile high club?”
I’ve never caught anyone, but I can’t say that I’m not a member of the mile high club!

You mentioned you were an aupair in Zurich for a couple of years.  What was that experience like?
Zurich was amazing and probably the best time in my life so far. I was 18 when I was there till 20. It was perfect because the drinking age is 18 and I just really partied my ass off. The clubs stay open all night. Some other aupairs and I would take the last train out at 12 and take the first train home at 6AM. It was a blast. I got to travel all around Europe to countries like France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden, and Amsterdam.  I was lucky enough to have a badass family that let me do whatever I wanted and they even gave me a car! I watched one 2 year old little boy Ramon. He was a doll and such a good kid. Basically I just taught him English and did a lot of cooking and cleaning for the family. I learned so much about how to cook, how to speak German and it was really just the best experience for any 18 year old. I would still be there if I could because I’m so in love with Europe, but they kicked me out of the country because my visa expired.

What was it like being a representative for Red Bull?
I have met so many connections through the party launches, club openings, and motocross and skatepark events. Red Bull is an amazing company and they treat their employees so well.

We know you’re originally from Cali, but what was it like living in Houston?
Houston is umm let’s say different. It’s very country there. I have a house north of Houston in the woodlands so people talk about going fishing and hunting all the time and I didn’t grow up with any of that.  I am such a city and beach girl so it was different for me. I mean their fun is going four wheeling, but it’s grown on me a lot. I really love the southern hospitality in Houston…it’s so nice.

Why did you move to the Big Apple?

I just felt like I needed a change and it’s not gonna be forever. I was in Texas for 3 years and I just had an itch to move. I don’t stay in one place for too long because there is just too much to see and do out there. I haven’t lived in half the places I want to yet. I would love to move to Mexico or Spain to learn Spanish. Maybe live there for a year or two to learn the language and maybe meet a hottie in the process. :)

I see you’re reading the Stephenie Meyer books? Why do you think so many women are into the Twilight series?
Because they are so addicting. I started the first one and couldn’t put it down–it only took me 3 days to read it and I hate reading. They almost seem like they could be real.

Is there anything guys can learn from Jacob and Edward in terms of winning the hearts of Bellas across the world?
Guys can learn a lot from these two. I suggest they read the book! Edward is just a heartthrob and anything he says or does pulls you into him. Jacob is a sweet guy and I’ve learned that when you get older you really do kinda want a sweet guy like that sometimes.

What’s your dream job?
Hmm my dream job. I have a few but the one that I would love to do is be a charter flight attendant for the San Diego Chargers or Padres. I think it would be so much fun because I love football and baseball.

What does a guy have to do to catch your attention?
Chase me. I love a man that will work for what he wants.

I’d imagine you’re not really into home body type guys.  What do you look for in a man?
I like a guy who is charming and one who will make the effort to get to know my family because that is the most important thing to me. I like a guy who will do anything at the drop of a hat like say, “Let’s take off to Europe for a few days or let’s go sky diving.”

Do you have any special hidden talents that most people don’t know about?
Well a lot of people don’t know that I am fluent in American sign language.  I am also a really good golfer. Believe it or not, I was captain of my golf team in high school. No one really thinks that because I am so girly, but I can whoop some ass on the golf course.

What’s a typical Friday night like for you?
Let’s see having a few girlfriends over, jammin out to music, having a few cocktails and getting sexy’d up. Then we’d hit up one of our fav Mexican restaurants and then go to a few local bars till closing. By that time I’m feeling pretty good and decide to carry the after party to my house and invite the whole bar over! :) I just love having a good time and making breakfast for everyone in the morning.
