If you’re like most, then you probably balance your checkbook regularly but dread the process. Now there is a better way to manage your money without saving every little receipt and tabulating them with a slide rule.
Mint is a free online service which connects nightly with your own banks and credit card providers to keep all of your transactions and accounts up to date automatically.
Although it probably won’t do the laundry or dishes for you, it seems like a great time saver. If any of you happen to sign up, please let the rest of us know how well the service works - thanks!

I signed up today and it took about 4 mins so it was pretty fast. The site is well designed and has some pretty cool reporting tools to see where your money is going. It’s very easy to add a credit card and or a bank.
The whole time I was using the service, I was thinking to myself, ok thi is cool, but what’s the catch? Seems like there is none from what I can tell. They do make a few offers or recommendation on how you can save more money by sitching cable providers (in my case from comcast to verizon), but it’s in a soft way and I didn’t mind it at all. Definitely a cool service.
